Get ready for a spellbinding evening at the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary's Owloween, a bewitching Halloween event on October 25th and 26th, 2024, from 6pm to 9pm. This family-friendly celebration promises a night of thrilling fun and spooky delights set against the enchanting backdrop of the sanctuary.

Step into a world of magic and mystery with our diverse range of attractions. Watch in awe as our magician performs jaw-dropping tricks that will leave you spellbound. Enjoy the heartwarming Squirrel Glider Survivor Show, where you’ll learn about these incredible creatures and their amazing survival stories.

Let the rhythm of the night take over with our hula hoop experience and amusements, designed to keep everyone entertained. Get in the Owloween spirit with free face painting and air brush tattoos, and let your imagination soar in our craft corner, where spooky stories also come to life.

Unleash your inner ghoul or glamour in our costume competition. Dress up as your favorite character for a chance to win fantastic prizes. Our themed areas, including the Witches’ Cave, Creepy Critter House, and Skeleton Forest, are sure to captivate with their eerie and enchanting atmospheres.

Experience the thrill of meeting nocturnal animals up close. Our special encounters offer a rare opportunity to connect with native wildlife, including mammals, birds, insects, and reptiles in their nighttime glory. Roaming actors will add a dash of spookiness to the event, creating an immersive Halloween experience.

Hungry for more? Satisfy your cravings with a variety of delicious options from our food vans, or indulge in a sweet treat from our ice cream stand and don't forget the coffee. While food and gifts from the shop are not included with entry, all other attractions are part of the event ticket.

​Special Effects: This event includes special effects including lighting, strobe lighting, lasers, and atmospheric effects.

Location: The sanctuary is located at 3105 Remembrance Driveway, Bargo NSW in close proximity from Sydney, the Southern Highlands, Greater Sydney, Western Sydney and Illawarra. It is accessible by car only due to limited public transport options available.

Event Times: 6pm to 9pm

Inclusions: The entry ticket price includes all activities excluding food and gift shop purchases. Entry ticket includes face painting and temporary tattoos.

Pets: No pets are permitted at the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary

Animal Welfare: The sanctuary is home to a wide range of native animals; we have a strict animal welfare policy and cannot guarantee that animals will always participate in this experience.

Participant Safety: The safety of our guests is important to us, and it is a requirement that suitable clothing be worn including enclosed footwear to participate in this experience. If there are certain animals that you aren’t comfortable to encounter, please let your ranger know on the day of your experience.

Ages: Owloween is open to all ages.

Accessibility: This experience may not be suitable for wheelchairs, walking aids, or people with compromised mobility. Please contact us for more information if required.

Carers/Concessions: The sanctuary currently does not offer general admission and operate booked events only therefore we cannot offer concessional rates or complimentary participation for carers in these experiences. Please contact us for more information if required.

Payment Information: Payment must be made in full at the time of booking. Drinks and food will be available from vendors, however is at an additional cost.

Postponing/Rescheduling: In some cases which may be due to severe weather or circumstances out of our control, we may need to postpone and reschedule your experience.

Refund Policy: Tickets are non-refundable. If the event is cancelled or postponed due to severe weather or any reason a credit voucher will be issued. If you cancel your booking a credit voucher will be issued.
