Owloween is back for 2026 — and this year, the sanctuary is being transformed like never before.

Welcome to The Haunted Sanctuary — a new-look Owloween experience for 2026, where the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary transforms into a world of haunted trails, eerie encounters and Halloween surprises.

This year's Owloween introduces a new walk-through format, with themed areas, attractions, entertainment and surprises unfolding as you make your way through the sanctuary.

Journey through a sanctuary transformed for Halloween, where every turn brings something new to discover. Explore haunted environments, see native wildlife, wander through eerie scenes and experience the sights, sounds and atmosphere of Owloween.

As evening falls and the sanctuary gets darker, lighting, special effects, sounds and atmospheric environments bring The Haunted Sanctuary to life around you.

Throughout your visit, enjoy live entertainers and discover some of the sanctuary's fascinating residents along the way.

There's plenty waiting to be discovered — from haunted graveyards and mysterious environments to strange experiments, toxic outbreaks and things that go bump in the night.

Come dressed for Halloween, bring your family and friends and discover what awaits you at Owloween 2026 – The Haunted Sanctuary.

And when you're ready for a treat, grab a coffee or ice cream, or visit the Lolly Shop for sweets, treats and other goodies.

Entry includes the Owloween attractions, entertainment and wildlife viewing. Food, drinks, Lolly Shop and other retail purchases are additional.

Please refer to your selected session time when booking. Entry times may vary depending on the session and event date. Guests should arrive ready for their booked session time.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Your Owloween entry includes access to the event's themed areas, haunted attractions, entertainment and wildlife viewing throughout the sanctuary.

Food, drinks, Lolly Shop purchases and other retail purchases are not included in the ticket price.

SPECIAL EFFECTS
Owloween – The Haunted Sanctuary features special effects throughout the event, including theatrical lighting, strobe lighting, lasers, atmospheric effects, fog, sudden sounds, air effects, moving props and other Halloween effects.

Some areas may contain spooky noises and sudden effects that may startle visitors.

AGES
Owloween is designed as a Halloween experience for families and visitors of different ages. Some areas contain sudden noises, air effects, moving props, darkness and other effects that may startle younger children.

Recommended for ages 8+. Parental discretion is advised for younger children.

FOOD & TREATS
Coffee and ice cream will be available to purchase during the event, along with sweets, treats and other goodies from the Lolly Shop.

LOCATION
Australian Wildlife Sanctuary
3105 Remembrance Driveway, Bargo NSW

The sanctuary is within easy travelling distance of the Southern Highlands, Macarthur, Western Sydney, Greater Sydney and the Illawarra. Due to limited public transport options, travelling by car is recommended.

ANIMAL WELFARE
The Australian Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a wide range of native wildlife, and animal welfare remains our priority throughout Owloween.

Animal visibility may vary depending on individual animals, weather conditions and animal welfare requirements.

PARTICIPANT SAFETY
Suitable clothing and enclosed footwear must be worn.

Owloween includes outdoor pathways, low-light environments, special effects, sudden noises and moving props. Visitors must follow all signage and directions from sanctuary team members throughout the event.

ACCESSIBILITY
Owloween takes place throughout the sanctuary and includes natural outdoor pathways and varying terrain.

Some areas may be difficult to navigate for visitors using wheelchairs or walking aids, or those with compromised mobility. Please contact us before booking if you would like to discuss individual accessibility requirements.

PETS
Pets are not permitted at the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary.

CARERS & CONCESSIONS
The Australian Wildlife Sanctuary currently operates through booked experiences and special events rather than general admission. As a result, concessional rates and complimentary carer participation may not be available for this event.

PAYMENT
Payment is required in full at the time of booking. Coffee, ice cream, Lolly Shop items and other available purchases during the event are at an additional cost.

WEATHER, POSTPONEMENT & RESCHEDULING
Owloween is an outdoor event. In the event of severe weather, unsafe conditions or circumstances outside our control, the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary may need to postpone, reschedule or make changes to the event.

REFUND POLICY
Tickets are non-refundable.

If the event is cancelled or postponed, ticket holders will be provided with information regarding the options available for their booking.
